You will hike through a forest of oaks and chestnut trees, alongside a river on the way there. Along the route, surprises await you in the form of interesting sights. The summit offers exceptional viewpoints.
Description
- Start on Fargue Street after the dead end of Martinet and the house on the left, open the gate and climb into the forest on the small trail.
- At the intersection, turn right following the sign indicating 'Collada de l'Orri 2h50,' then ascend through the forest near the river.
- At the Pic de l'Orri, turn left towards Col de l'Estaca and follow the trail to Pic des Quatre Termes.
- Follow the Col des Trois Hêtres and descend left towards Col de l'Aranyo. Then head towards 'Roc de Les Medes.'
- Roc de Les Medes offers a beautiful viewpoint of the sea, the plain, and Tour de la Massane. Continue the descent towards Vallée Heureuse and pass through a beech forest in front of Font dels Miracles (a spring under a tree), a curiosity of this hike. Don't miss the ruins of an old cortal on the left while descending. Continue the descent until the bifurcation, passing Col de l'Espinas, and take the same path as on the way up. Take the opportunity to visit the Forge du Martinet, 20 Fargue Street, for more information.
