Circuit following the trail that ancient people used to reach the hamlet of Cosprons, especially during the traditional Easter festivities. The path leads to the Chapel of Cosprons, which houses a maritime Christ, classified as a Historical Monument.
Description
- From the Tourist Office, climb the steps to Place de la Castellane. Enjoy a beautiful viewpoint over the bay and the marina.
- Cross the square in the middle and take Rue des Paquebots, then continue straight on via the double staircase. Once at the top, descend the Strategic Road to reach the parking lot of the SNCF train station. Follow Route de la Gare until you reach the entrance of Val de Pintes, a communal leisure area. Look to your right, where Fort Elme overlooks the ridge ahead.
- To the left, pass through the tunnel under the railway tracks and reach the D914. Cross the railway and go around the roundabout to the left to head up towards the Pont d'Amour housing estate.
- In the middle of the hill, take the old stone-paved path on the right, bordered by beautiful dry stone walls, which leads to Col du Perdiguer (120m).
- Cross the road and continue straight through the vineyard towards Cosprons.
- Head to the left.
- Turn left, then take a right after the bridge. Descend back to Port-Vendres via the Pont de l'Amour housing estate.
